The Ashburton Museum blog explores local history, culture and heritage, with a focus on the Ashburton District, New Zealand.
Our authors and researchers mainly local, while some are based throughout New Zealand. While our interests are broad, most images are drawn from the extensive collections held at Ashburton Museum, including over 20,000 objects and artworks, over six million photographic frames, 5000 maps and plans, plus more than 1.6km of archives.
If we can assist your research, we welcome enquiries.
